CIC (Italy)
The Consortium brings together and represents public and private entities that produce or operate composting and anaerobic digestion plants, trade associations, engineering firms, laboratories, research bodies, manufacturers of machinery and equipment, and other companies involved in the production of organic fertilisers.
Compost Certification Scheme (UK)
The Compost Certification Scheme (CCS) provides assurance to consumers, farmers, food producers, and retailers that quality compost produced from composting processes is safe for human, animal and plant health. Quality Compost is the name adopted for the compost that is certified under the CCS for end-of-waste and quality assured status.
Cré (Irealnd)
Established in 2001, Cré (which is the Irish word for ‘soil’) was initially set up to represent the fledging composting sector and in later years developed to include anaerobic digestion in the Republic of Ireland.
It is a non profit association of public and private organisations, dedicated to growing the biological treatment sector.
Cré supports the production of high quality outputs, assists the delivery of Government waste diversion and bioenergy targets, and promotes the creation of sustainable indigenous jobs.
Vlaco (Belgium)
Vlaco npo was founded in 1992, to support and implement the policy of biowaste (green waste, vegetable, fruit and garden waste and industrial bio-waste). We are a membership organisation with representation of both the Flemish government (by means of the OVAM and the intermunicipal waste associations) and the private sector (private waste treatment companies).
