The Story
With a background in engineering and applied computer science, I have spent the last 30 years or so ensuring that environmental claims are credible, whether they relate to compostable products or renewable materials.
As Head of TÜV AUSTRIA OKcert, I have developped and overseen the OK compost, OK biodegradable, OK biobased and OK renewable certifications schemes, which have become international benchmarks in this domain.
Retired since 1 April 2026, I continue to participate regularly in international working groups and advocate for greater clarity in communication on sustainability.
